Asus India stated on Tuesday at press event in Bangalore that Nexus 7 is likely to be released

Asus India today confirmed at the PadFone and Transformer Pad launch event that the
Google Nexus 7 is expected to launch in India in November according from reports for
CIOL. It might come with a different name and few changes in the specification says Asus,
the hardware partner. Google announced the Nexus 7, their first Android tablet to come
with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) in June at Google I/O for $199. There are rumors floating
around for the Nexus 7 tablet with 3G support which is expected mid-October.
The Nexus 7 version currently available does not features 3G connectivity, but a recent rumour has suggested that Asus has already started the production of 3G Nexus 7.
Considering that India is not such great market for launching a Wi-Fi only product because of the lack of public Wi-Fi hotspots, Asus might bring the rumoured 3G version to India. There is no confirmation on the 3G connectivity as of now, but it seems very likely.
